House At The End Of The World

One additional star for the great service of the Ukrainians working here and the excellent meals prepared by them. Now let's get to the point. We booked a room on the ground floor two months in advance. My partner is disabled and climbing a few steps is a huge problem for her, so when ordering it was clearly and precisely stated that we were only interested in the ground floor. After arrival, it turned out that we had a room on the 2nd floor because our ordered room was occupied :-) I clearly explained that there must have been some big misunderstanding. Therefore, by "grace" we got a house for the price of the room. The only problem with the house is that it is not easy to get to it in a wheelchair. So living in a cottage for 5 nights was very problematic for us. Moreover, I wanted my partner to be able to use the shared dining room/living room on her own, which was impossible in this situation. And now my opinion about the house after 5 days of living there. The house looks nice at first glance. Unfortunately, shortcomings appear very quickly. Uncomfortable wooden chairs, uncomfortable sofa, small table. In the kitchen there is only a microwave and a kettle, there is a pot and a pan, but I don't know why? Maybe I should light a fire to use them? The house is equipped in a simple minimalist way. Apart from what always annoys me, the lighting in the living room was very poor. Maybe I wouldn't have been so keen on this house, but it so happened that I spent the next week in Austria in the Alps in an apartment that was larger in area than this house, with full furniture, comfortable sofas, armchairs, a large table and a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher. And views of mountains higher than Gerlach and 500 m from the trail to peaks 2,400 m high. And this apartment was cheaper than this funny house. The location is not particularly outstanding either. Yes, if someone wants to hide in the wilderness, that's OK. Don't expect any views. The tourist area is not particularly interesting to walk around. There is one uninteresting tourist trail in the area. Apart from that, there is nothing interesting. You have to get in the car and move around. And the access road is not the best. In my opinion, the location is neither a plus nor a minus, some people will like it, others may not like it.

A wonderful end of the world that we recommend to everyone. The house we stayed in for a few days fully met our expectations. A comfortable place to sleep and a separate area for spending long evenings in larger company. A wonderful terrace with a view of beautiful nature. Very nice owners. Mrs. Alona's cuisine deserves great praise, the meals are really delicious and the sweet addition to dinner is a great icing on the cake. The very close vicinity of many tourist attractions is an additional advantage of the House at the End of the World. It is impossible not to mention the trails that start here and are a nice alternative to spending time without a car. The nearby pond is a perfect place to curl up with a book or watch birds. We will certainly come back to you!
